So...

Today, when we hit 17th Street (which seems to have become the source of all grocery shopping), in a fit of "of what the hell!", I picked up a bottle of Mrs Meyers All Purpose Cleaner.

Honestly, I've never had too much of a problem with chemical cleaners. They don't do odd things to my throat/when I breathe/etc, but I've been curious as to how this stuff stands up for a while. So, in an effort to get out of school-work, I filled a bowl with warm water, added some of the stuff, and went to work in the kitchen.

Good lord. A little elbow-grease and a short bit of time later: cleanliness! Grease? Gone. Sticky spots? Gone. Hands? Smell faintly of lavender.

Sure, it's a little more expensive than the commercial stuff, but I am liking the lack of a bleach smell when I'm done, there's not stinging or anything when I stick my hand into the water (as has happened a few times in the past), and the fact that in the back of my mind there's no "should I be worrying about this around food?"
