Well, it's done. Got married on Saturday, and life is now returning to normal.

Weird.

It was great to see people - [livejournal.com profile] kittenfemme, some of my cousins, friends, the usual. *grin* There were some great comments in the midst of getting things set:

On nailpolish:
My mother: "Is that No, I'm Not A Waitress?"
[livejournal.com profile] kittenfemme (not missing a beat): "No. It's Chick Flick Cherry."

[livejournal.com profile] kittenfemme on makeup: "I thought, will Willa have (whatever)? No."
(note - i was also informed exactly how hopeless i am when it comes to makeup. i feel special.)

What follows is the first batch of, well. stuff...

First off, for [livejournal.com profile] raventhourne, the chocolate cheesecake recipe: Nigella Lawson's Chocolate Cheesecake

Secondly, the wording bits:

And now, we've got some photos from my mother. I can't wait until I see what other people took, and what [livejournal.com profile] bdrisco took. I'm really hoping there's one of just [livejournal.com profile] kittenfemme and I that someone got.

Pictures! )

More as they come!

Hit Safeway, mainly to pick up supplies for cheesecakes. I've lost my mind and am making them in lieu of a wedding cake...

The cashier sort of looked at the 10 pounds of cream cheese, plus assorted other supplies (sour cream, heavy cream, etc), in a rather confused fashion. Until we explained.

Now, I'm wondering how I'll manage to fit a pair of them in the fridge to cool overnight. Woot!

The only thing that would make me happier would be if I had the vaguest idea what [livejournal.com profile] domnall had planned for my birthday. This is evil...

Just got home from dinner and movies. Went to Pei Wei, then hit up the DeAnza to see Wanted and The Incredible Hulk.

Wanted was a surprisingly fun adrenaline rush. Sure - scenes reminded me massively of The Matrix. However, it was fun and amusing, and good.

Hulk was a blast. Plain and simple. I enjoyed it very much.

Granted, this now leaves two movies I really want to see in current circulation - Wall-e, which we'll probably see next week, and The Fall. I'm probably going to have to rent. if by some miracle the last mistress showed up in tucson, i'd be there in a heartbeat. but i doubt it shall be so.

Also - got rings on Friday morning! Woot! They rock! Nice and simple. Also, comfortable.

Well, we can say with authority - the food at the wedding should be quite tasty.

Since we had a meeting with the coordinator person at Hotel Congress after work, we decided to grab dinner there. It was a bit of a wait, seeing as we didn't know they took reservations and there was an Indigo Girls show at the Rialto.

However, the food was really good, and totally worth the wait. I had pasta with vegetables and chicken, and [livejournal.com profile] domnall had lamb. The nachos are very tasty as well.

A warning to those who may venture there later - the devil's food cake is too rich to eat alone. It's completely worth the price. Definitely going to have to go there and try more of their desserts.

If I play a tiefling warlock in 4.0, which is highly likely, I shall have to do all the rp in a pseudo-russian accent.

And frequently make comments about my agent.

The book only reinforces this desire.

also - it is far too late to worry about wording on wedding invite. it made sense at the time, i shall not freak now. it certainly is *not* a four-hour ceremony...

Thinking about it - it's not what one would consider totally "appropriate" for an (early) afternoon summer wedding.

But damn it - it's a really pretty dress and I like it! And it's mine!

Dress shopping was surprisingly fun.

Didn't really find anything though. Of the two dresses that everyone agreed were good - one was several more times what I was willing to spend, and upon a night of sleep and some thought - not really appropriate for what we're going for. (Less *wedding-y* and more *you're our family and friends, come goof off - oh, and by the way we're also getting married.* Or something like that. In short, *not* really formal.) The other, which was far more preferable, would take 12 to 15 weeks to get in ivory, and without a train.

*rolls eyes*

So, since I've got work later on this afternoon, I'm going to hit 4th Ave because I can. and also because i need to find something to wear to a wedding in two weeks.

Also - I'm *so* tempted to try Your Wardrobe Unlock'd it's disgusting. Alas, I lack time.
