Things are, in short, settling.

This is a great relief, as most people know I've been all over the place as of late. I'm finally organizing my mind and my life into something vaguely sane and planned. I'm learning what the important things are to me and what I need to do so that I don't get utterly lost in it again. It's a shitty place for me and I don't like it at all. My goal is to get everything organized before I go back to school in July so that I have a clean space, and therefore easier mind, from which to go forward.

The weekend was really good. We cleaned on Saturday and had people over for Craft Night, which seemed to go very well. I didn't get much done, but hung out with friends and relaxed, which I needed. I've got part of my spinning wheel taken apart right now so I can fool around with it, and that makes me happy. Also, the leg of lamb went over well and the burgers were tasty (did I mention we got a grill?).

Sunday we got together with my dad for awhile. He's moving next week and we brought up boxes before hitting Best Buy so Ryan could help him spec out a new TV. Dad seems to be doing well in terms of moving, and that's a good thing. We'll help him on Saturday and that should be easy and straightforward. We'll have him over for dinner as well to further play with the grill - it's a gas and charcoal beast, and I'm happy.

Plans this week are simple and easy. Wash all the linen in the spare bedroom, clean the craftroom, and bake. I have rugelach dough in the fridge and Fred is bubbling away, ready to be made into sourdough. I may start organizing the kitchen as well, but I don't want to get ahead of myself, so if I don't get to it I'll be annoyed.
