Pick 20 movies/anime/video games/comic books/literary works/musicals, etc. and put their summaries from Better Than It Sounds and WITHOUT CHEATING have your friends guess. Regrettably, most of of my favorites aren't listed - particularly in the book category, meaning a definite dearth there - so we just had to make do. *grin*
1. A depressed workaholic stages an elaborate suicide. His family doesn't really care.
2. Indie boy with Robot Buddy accrues harem of unattainable ladies. Comedy, drama, and coffee ensue. And when he does attain one, it's not the one you'd expect.
3. A young woman's loss of sanity causes concern for a friend of her missing parents.
4. Trivia enthusiast attempts to solve world's problems with help of young idealists. This involves a lot of lengthy conversations conducted whilst walking up and down corridors.
5. A historical Sit-Com, in which every generation of a charismatic but extremely unlucky man's family both looks the same and possesses the same name, as does almost everyone else he encounters. Each man is unfortunate enough to be surrounded by half-wits, incompetents and lunatics, and is waited upon by a servant whose standards of personal hygiene are barely human at best.
6. A baby is switched at birth, which causes great problems later on. Meanwhile, a cynic with a fondness for antique cars, a rare book dealer, a Granola Girl, a man who breaks things, one of the last witch-hunters in Britain and the witch-hunter's landlady attempt to prevent four rather sinister bikers from causing The End Of The World As We Know It.
7. Slacker dude from New Jersey refurbishes a Humongous Mecha from the future out of spare parts he finds in a dumpster. Aliens want to steal the mecha for their own purposes. Lots of things explode.
8. Three middle-aged men arse about with cars and a whole bunch of the BBC's money. Somehow, the results are brilliant.
9. A man is let out of prison and is hired as chauffeur and bodyguard to a weird man who's conducting a secret war against another bunch of other weird people. The story is occasionally interrupted for history lessons or stories that are almost completely unrelated.
10. A pizza delivery boy goes on a one-way trip to the future, where he meets and befriends a physically deformed orphan and an alcohol-fueled criminal. They all quit their jobs to work for the delivery boy's senile nephew.
11. Dude gets his rug peed on, and then has to fight a bunch of nihilists.
12. an abortion clinic worker, two stoners, a stripper, and the 13th Apostle to stop them. And there's a monster made out of crap.
13. People travel through space on the back of a giant turtle, have adventures, and discover things that we take for granted in modern society. Major characters include a perennial coward, a crabby old woman, an ape, a despotic tyrant, a recovered alcoholic middle-aged chain-smoking cop, and a 6-foot-tall dwarf.
14. Some kids go through worlds, kill God accidentally and discover they don't need Him in first place. And there's loads and loads of talking animals! Technically speaking.
15. A young man travels into a magical kingdom to find a meteor to give his girlfriend, except the meteor is another woman.
16. Martian Jesus preaches salvation through cannibalism and drinking water. He is opposed by football-loving pharisees. A cynical retiree provides commentary.
17. Schoolgirl takes on a lot of extra work.
18. A DHS agent, a mad scientist, and a high-school dropout solve mysteries with dubious scientific techniques.
19. Young women splash around in a freezing river to make sure nobody cheats the system.
20. A Massive Multiplayer Crossover featuring characters from Fairy Tales and folklore, who are forced out of their homelands by a ruthless dictator and take refuge in New York City.
