What's under the cut is the Viking Laptop thus far. The class is Art 104 - essentially an introduction to 3D Design.
i'm taking it so i can get into the 200-level fiber class. i saw the looms. i want to bond.
The first two shots were taken on my phone - hence the horrid quality.

The outside

The inside

Design Drawn (mmm... artists tape)

Cutting it out - I used a Dremel cut into the plastic.

Before the tape was removed - as you may or may not be able to see, I cut a little deep into the left side and broke through the plastic.

Tape removed, and more tape added so I can cut out the area around the main design.

After the entire area was removed. I rather like the contrast - only thing I *don't* like is how un-even the plastic is.

Gold leaf part 1.

Gold leaf part 2 - all I need to do now is touch it up so that the gold is nice and solid and then put on a top coat.

What's going to be the drawers. I need to carve out the insides (completely on one, and better on the other), but they fit perfectly and will probably hold jewelry.

Making beads!
domnall took this photo.

Some of the beads lined up. they're not very good, but I fully intend on getting better.

Design on the inside. The keys are also painted, and I'm going to re-do them.
