Got a Barnes and Noble gift card for Christmas, spent most of it today.

Got a Mark Helprin novel (Freddy and Frederika), NightWatch, and one that looked interesting called Eifelheim.


Plus the current issue of The New Yorker. for i am an east-coast heathen damnit! and i have not read the new yorker in a while...


I nearly bought Umberto Eco's On Uglyness. It's big and glossy and full-color and *ggggggg*

YAAAYY!!! for the New Yorker. Mom and I went up to the RISD store on Saturday, and I got an amazing book on costume design in europe with amazing detail, it's organized by ruler and goes from the middle ages through to the 50's :P . I was SOOO tempted to snag the british vogue but i didn't have my money on me so I couldn't. Maybe I will this weekend, there is a show on some guy who graduated from RISD and became a famous costume jeweler and his stuff is in the museum and we are going.
