Disney's Pixar takeover is boost for Jobs
If you know me, you know my hatred of Disney.
I'm not sure if I want to wail and gnash my teeth, or jump up and down. In additon the the $7.4bn Disney forked over, they gave Jobs a seat on the Board of Directors. This could be good, without a doubt, but I'm totally torn.
Reasoning behind it, I can appreciate - Disney will give Pixar what is probably a better deal then anyone else can give them when it comes to distribution of their stuff.
But a part of me is going total sell-out. Nooo!
Of course, this little fact, from the New York Times, makes me, for some reason, snicker.
The Walt Disney Company will buy Pixar in an all-stock transaction that makes Pixar CEO Steve Jobs Disney's largest shareholder.
