So... I’m registered for classes, textbooks bought (at least all except the ones for weanling handling), room is close to organized (I. Need. Shelves.), and maternal unit is gone. I’m ready for college. *woot*
For those who are interested, I’m taking College Algebra, English Composition 103h, Intro to Horse Science, Intro to Animal Racing Industry, Human/Animal Interrelationships, and possibly Weanling Management. With the weanling class, I’m taking 18 credits this semester, more then recommended, but as all except the algebra and english are things I’m really looking forward to, I don’t think it’s going to be all that bad.
Watch me be proved totally wrong. *grin*
That said, I like it here. Alot. The campus is really nice, if spread out, and it’s good. My roommate is neat, and pretty fun. Granted, I’ve known her for about 48 hours, but still. Her friend Sam looks like he’ll be taking up parttime-residence in our room, but I don’t think it’s going to end up being much of a problem. If it is, I can deal. At any rate, I think we'll end up with a shared book/movie/music policy. With earring lendings as stuff goes on.
Room is small, but private. I like the lack of proper halls (I’m in an old motel), and having one’s own bathroom (small though it may be) is wonderful. As is the large walk-in closet. I still need to set-up my internet connection, but I've got a neighbor with wireless, so it's not bugging me much. I'll deal with it soon.
