Got It!
I've got Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince! I can finally join the rest of the world!
Woot!
It should also be noted I'm currently in possesion of the ten volumes of Gaiman's Sandman graphic novels. (How I love libraries...) This fact makes me extremely happy, as does that I was able to find a copy of his BBC Neverwhere series.
I'm all set for a very enjoyable next 24 hours.

It is really good.
Sandman is awesome. My favorite is A Doll's House.
I have the Neverwhere book - much better than the show, just because you don't get cheesy special effects in books. I can mail it to you if you want, if you can't find it in the library or something.

thanks for the offer, but I have my own copy of Neverwhere. It's a little battered (though not nearly as much as good Omens is), and I love it. Film wise though, I loved Islington and Richard.

Ooooo... Sandman. Those are so good. ^_^ Tell me how the Neverwhere series is, cause a friend of mine has it but we've never watched it.

As for Neverwhere, I'd recommend seeing it (and also the Gaiman interview on the second disc, as it's rather good and a bit funny). It's not the book, that's for sure, but the Marquis is very good, as are Richard and Door. And Islington is, IMO, perfect.

Okay! I'll try and convince the lot of them that we should watch them, then. ^_^

(Anonymous) 2005-07-20 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)oh, and sorry if I was abrupt this morning, but I'd only just got in to work and I was late! I made Iz look at iharthdarth and she had the *squee* reaction, too. :)
