I've now been out of school for a week. That should be sufficient time for me to lose the insanity that's been plaguing me. I think a few people have wondered what's up with me, as I'm a bit out of it. The lack of something in the terms of formal education clogging up my mind has caused a bit of confusion at times. Actually, probably a bit more than a little bit of confusion.

So now my goal, among other things, is to try and be a bit more sane, at least when not around family. If nothing else, it'll help me feel better about myself.

The new children's librarian at Newport Public is rather neat. I'm half afraid I freaked her out, but somehow, I doubt it. Probably had to do with meeting her after getting off a long and agonizing shift at work. It was Chowder Fest, and hell on the wharf. As my boss said when he came in to take over for the night, "You have this frazzled look." Which was completely true. *le sigh*

In other random stuff, in no particular order...

-Rob Thomas actually has a pretty good solo albumn. Unlike Gwen Stefani who gets on my nerves (especially Hollaback Girl), he's doing fine without Matchbox 20. Something to Be has more good songs than just Lonely No More. In fact, I rather like the entire CD.
-E S Posthumus' Unearthed is damned good. They've allowed a few thing sto be used in trailers, so chances are you've heard them. But the albumn is great, sounds like good movie soundtrack-all emotion and giant themes. It's addicting if nothing else.
-Coldplay's X and Y is out on Tuesday-squeee!!!!


Aahh, yes... zaralya, I promised you apicture of SwordMage a while back. Unfortunatly (or maybe fortunatly), I can't find the original I drew. So you'll have to make dow itht he one drawn for me by teh uber-talented lightpoint.

Oh, this is a beautiful drawing! I love how the colours blend together. Very nice. Even if it is not your own drawing. :0( I wanted to see that, too. *sigh* But as soon as one starts searching for something it tends to disappear. *wink*

And there´s a new Coldplay thing coming out? *is excited* I didn´t know! Is it a single or an album?

I do love it, Claire is really talented, much moreso than I am. Hopefully I'll come across that old picture, and if I do, I'll post it. If you're at all interested though, the original idea sort of spun off this image, from Cremaster 3.

Yep, new Coldplay albumn out day after tomorrow here. The only single they've released thus far is called Speed of Sound, and it doesn't get half as much airtime as it deserves, because it's very pretty.

I'll get specs to you ASAP, though it's really not changed much from what you drew me. Originally, she was a weaponed (small dagger at hip, sword, staff) leopard anthro with earrings, a scar over one eye, wearing little in the way of clothing (a band covering her breasts and a loincloth). And holding a fireball in one hand paw. In short, rather cliche.

Not at all. Anyone who I can happily compare books with and who will provide names and information on interesting things I've not read is automatically rather neat and worth knowing. :D
