The Spoiler-y Entry for SW:RotS
May. 23rd, 2005 10:52 amHere's a more spoiler-filled entry. Granted, there's probably not much in the way of spoilers, as we all know the ending, but what follows still has some stuff you may not want to read if you've not seen it yet. I liked it, I really did. Enough so that I'm overlooking some of the major flaws here (dialogue should sum it all up) in favor of a completely positive review.
But there should be no earth-shattering movie revelations. *grin*
*The duel on the lava planet probably ranks as one of my favorite movie duels of all-time.
*Actually, the whole Mustafar sequence is good. From Padme trying to plead with Anakin, to his choking her (disturbing, and not in the same way that his killing of the younglings is), to the battle, to the post-duel result of Anakin (where all I could think of was the Black Knight saying It's only a flesh wound.).
*Seeing Yoda fight is a pleasure, it really his. His duel with Palpatine is wonderful (they play Duel of the Fates in the background, if I'm remembering correctly) and takes places in the empty Galactic Senate.
*The transformation of Palpatine to the Emperor is also rathe rdisturbing. COnsidering that it occurs as he's blasting Mace Windu (how I was sad to see him go) with the blue lightning.
*The killing of the Jedi is sad, it really is. As is the death of the younglings in the temple.
*Th transformation to Vader is great. Yes, parts of it are inter-cut with Padme giving birth, which is sort of a neat thing. But we kind of see the prosthetics being attached, and we see the helmet go on. And we hear the voice... *shiver*
