If anyone doesn't think that jockeys have it easy, I'd like them to take a look at today's Preakness Stakes.
If your horse suddenly goes to his knees, chances are that you'll be unseated. If your horse goes to his knees when he's at full racing speed of 30/35+, you'll hit the ground hard.
However, Jeremy Rose had that happen to him, stayed on, and went on to win by a nice margin.
Now that's athleticism. Not baseball, not football, certainly not golf, not a host of other sports.
