Star Wars notes
May. 16th, 2005 12:46 pmFirst off, AO Scott's review in today's NY Times can do down as the first review in a while to actually make me drool. Not much, but still enough to cause me to worry about my sanity.
Secondly, the BBC has a page with film impressions from fans sent in. They're rather interesting-ranging from the standard complaints of too much CGI to lousy acting/script to comments that it blows the other two out of the water (something I'm dearly hoping for).
No matter what though, I couldn't help but agree with this part of a comment.
As a person who likes Star Wars I feel bullied by the media which makes me not want to go and watch the film at all. They then go on and say Star wars fever is taking over and in a few days we will turn into R2D2,C3PO and other memorable characters. So call me crazy but I don't believe the hype. Which I sort of agree with.
And no matter what, I'm looking forward to this quite a bit. I only hope it'll live up to my expectations. (While I'm not expecting it to be as good of ESB, I'm still hoping it'll be good.)
