All of these were taken on Saturday February 19, 2005.
For some reason almost all the people I've shown these to have started to gush madly over them, and it's sort of annoying. Especially with my mother, but that's another story. I like the lot overall, some are better then others, but that's the way all rolls of photos are.
And for the record, I scanned them in a random order, so there's no real linear progression to these.

Dad and Pippa walking under the Gates. They're all about 16 feet high. Rather impressive.

I swear, they looked cool when there was no breeze, but when you got under them and the wind picked up, it was really neat.

Just looking out over them. Remember, the Gates follow the paths in the park, there are about 7500 of them.

This was cool, it's Pippa walking through some steam under a Gate that was off to the side of the path in the Zoo. It may have looked a little more interesting when you were there, but the picture came out rather well anyway.

Possibly my favorite out of the lot. It doesn't look like it, but all the Gates are the same color, it's just the light here.

More looking out over them.

I swear, the wind was really cool when it went through them.

You can see them from everywhere, it's amazing.

I took a bunch of pictures from a large rock that overlooked one of the rinks. It also provided some spectacular views of the installation.

I don't give a damn what the MU says, some pictures are the result of pure luck. Like this one.

People seem to like this one, not really sure why.

It may have nothing to do with the Gates, but I happen to love carousels.

And finally, my sister on the drive home. She's rather cute when sleeping.
