Blizzard over the course of Saturday night and Sunday. Woot!
Especially as it meant school was out yesterday. Of course, Portsmouth and the Abbey are the only places with classes in the area today.
However, the bright side is that Winter Weekend is this weekend, and so I've only got classes today, tomorrow (which is a half-day already, and one class on Thursday. So most of Thurs, all of Fri, Sat, Sun, and Monday off. This is just plain wonderful.
So I spent the time watching movies, catching up on schoolwork (sort of), and cooked dinner Saturday and Sunday. With much help from dad (because I have no clue</> how to butterfy a chicken. and would be scared as hell that I'd cut myself doing it).
Among the movies watched were Down by Law, which is solely decent for Roberto Benigini, and Scent of a Woman, which has a wonderful performance by Al Pacino. And a great ending.
We also watched Little Voice, which I highly recommend. The only people I was familiar with in it were Michael Cane, Ewan McGregor, and Jim Broadbent. All were wonderful, as was Jane Horrocks as LV (who did all her own songs and has a great voice).
Highly recommended.
