I do hate this time of year
Oct. 27th, 2004 12:49 pmParents' Weekend starts Friday. This does not particularly amuse me as, even though the parental units are not attending classes on Friday, the MU decided that she wanted to go to parent-teacher confrences on Saturday. Dad will not be going. Says he knows what all my teachers will say. Same thing they always do. Generally the fact that the MU is going wouldn't bug me very much, but I just don't feel like it this year. She's doubtless ask how all my last tests were, and let's just say this hasn't been my best of times. Something in the range of a 70 on my Poli Sci test today (*headdesk*) and a 67 on my Calculus test. Really, I just want to crawl under a rock and hibernate. Life is not going the way I'd like it to right now. Not to mention that my class schedule on Friday is all messed up and not fun. At least there are no classes on Saturday or Monday (which means four days without Calculus, a class I have a love-hate realtionship with, leaning more towards the love-but-for-all-that-is-good-will-the-period-just-end-dammit side).
In brighter news, the latest issue of Wired came with a rather nifty CD. 16 songs all by different artists, and most of them are pretty damned good. Made me decide that I need to go and buy some David Bryne. The information that he's a member of the Talking Heads only adds to the appeal.
And now I must go. For I have some four nights of Calculus homework to do.
