Movie Update!`

I saw The Manchurian Candidate last night. Lovely! In a creepy, edge-of-my-seat, slightly-disturbing way. Some parts seemed a little too close for comfort.

Denzel Washington was great.
Meryl Streep was so controlling. I loved her.
Liev Schreiber, the titular Manchurian Candidate was just. plain. amazing.

I never saw the first one, so I can't compare this to it. Nonetheless, again, some parts of this were a little too close for comfort.

It's worth seeing.


We also rented Paycheck. It was surprisingly good and I enjoyed it. Proof that, unlike other "pretty boys" *cough*OrlandoBloom*cough*, Ben Affleck can act.

And he rather lacks talent.
