I refuse to be pissed off over the prefect appointments. I applied, I knew I was qualified, I have pretty good grades (not straight A's, but nothing under a C in the past two years), and a good reputation among the faculty.

So why in bloody, fucking, hell am I not a prefect?

My wonderful grandmother was telling me that many qualified people got turned down (she was the one who sent out the letters). Still, it makes me just a wee bit annoyed, because some of the people I seriously suspect have gotten the appointments don't deserve them.

However, give me some time with Love, Actually and some ice cream and I'll be happy.
