So I'm here at school. It's a Catholic school, and while I'm not religious, it doesn't bother me all that much. Hell, I wanted to come here. But that's not the problem. What really annoyed me was that last night we began the "Easter retreat". Which, IMO, basically means no classes today and some boring crap last night.
Well, boring may not be the appropriate term-horrific may have been better. The theme this year is the passion of the Christ. So we watched a video of a one-man show last night. It was just plain terrible. I can't even begin to describe it. I know some members of the monastic community were not amused. It wasn't in bad taste or anything, it just was well, bad. The guy kind of freaked me out at points. Personally, I tried not to laugh. But when he's doing what amounts to interpretive dance about Palm Sunday, it was really hard impossible. Now the retreat is basically over, all that's left is a damned mass at 5. Oh well.

Everyone has their guilty pleasure. I suppose mine could be considered to be Harry Potter fanfiction. More on that at some point in the near future.

Apparently dad's car is in the shop until Monday. Damn it, probably.

Not fond of Bush? These are campaign slogans they should have used.

And today's bit of horror- Harry Potter meets VeggieTales. *sob* for the record, I'm not particularly fond of the annoying little vegetables

interpretive dance about Palm Sunday

O.o I don't want to know. I really don't.

Catholic school just sucks. I'm even very religious and I still hated it. Actually though, I think I'm more religious because I left after 6th grade. The only people I saw at Mass on Sundays during high school were the public school kids.

Campaign slogans were also quite amusing.

The interpretive dance was more amusing than anything else. My advisory group got a mini-lecture about being polite, as the advisor's wife happened to attend and thought we were rather rude, laughing the way we did. The group ended up explaining that laugher was really the only appropriate respone.
