All I'll say is this. I love them. They have little fat bodies and feathers on their head that bob as they walk. You almost never see just one, and they're so damned cute.
The International Wildlife Museum was cool. First place I've seen a stuffed aardvark. The one room with all the heads reminded me (and dad) of Foster's Big Horn, a restaurant in California.
There was also the Sonoran Desert Musuem, which was just plain spectacular. I was very impressed. The collection of animals was very good, I got some nice ones.
Tohono Chul Park was great. They had a wonderful collection of plants, and were also showing some really cool Mexican folk art. Pictures need to be developed.
the zoo was really cool too. The birds were great. Unfortunatly, I didn't bring my camera, and so was unable to get a photo of the cockatoo pair. One was digging, and the other was showing off. It was rather funny.
One word: Amazing. Again, I didn't take pictures, but the ones on the site are ery accurate. The campus is beautiful, and the library is great. I also got the chance to see where the RTIP is, and talk with one of the people in chare of it. It's a small group, which is great, and the opportunities are good. The College of Agriculture has a farm in Tucson, and the RTIP people get to use it. They deal with horse from the breeding to foaling to sale. This is just what I want to do. It's great.
I think my one regret is that I didn't take more photos. But the ones I took are good, so we'll see what happens.
