Wisdom Teeth and Other Things
Jul. 18th, 2010 09:06 amIt's about 9 am and I've got the second load of laundry running. Yes, I'm kind of pleased with myself.
Not hitting A&S was a good thing - though I'm sad that I didn't get to see people and I heard some of the entries were quite cool. Same reason that not going into work was good, it meant I was able to curl up on the couch, watch documentaries (and the Taylor/Harrison Cleopatra) and take meds. The end result was that I felt much better by the end of the day. Of course, talking to both my parents for a decent amount of time seems not to have made by jaw very happy, so it's sore and certainly a little bit swollen. I've been trying to follow the after-care, but I need to be better about the compresses.
On the really bright side, I'm not tasting nearly as much blood in my mouth.
In other words, have been completely and utterly looking forward to PAX. The Triwizard drinking tournament just needs a few things picked up for costumes, and I really should get to work on at least one for normal use at the con. Ryan wants a Vault-Tec jumpsuit and I'm thinking of throwing something together along the lines of Lok'lira the Crone from WoW.
More importantly though, I've got class next week. I'm really looking forward to it - preservation and it should be interesting. I'm also glad because I looked at the assignment requirements again and it's not a paper as I thought it was. I'm thinking of working on a preservation grant, as it's only about 5 pages long and I think it'll actually be useful for me.
