Granted the play itself is just wrong, on a number of levels - something like 15 different types of murder. I'm not bothered by blood or anything, this particular play just touches on all the wrongness and brutality of humanity.
That said, Taymour's version is beautiful, haunting, reeks both of Rome and the modern.
The cast is quite god to boot.
