Tonight's moment of briliance:

After several hours of The Child crashing whenever [livejournal.com profile] domnall tried to start up a certain game, and much fiddling about, the problem was solved.

Move the disc from the upper drive to the lower one.

I laughed for a good several minutes.

two different drives, or two different mobo plugins (for the cables connecting the drives)? O.< FUCKING SHIT... TWILIGHT IS SO BAD!

You've met The Child. Two different drives, as far as I know.

What made it all even more fun was the fact that there is no troubleshooting page, as the developer went under.

You expected Twilight to be anything different? Sheesh!

BWAHAHAHAH... Are you reading the books or did you watch the movie? You should go over to Making Light and read some of the Twilight snark there. It's brilliant.

@Willa: Yep, sounds like either a matter of cabling, mobo connector, or type of drive. I had a good bit of trouble with Fallout 3 at one point because my CD drive was old enough that the DRM program wasn't able to talk to it correctly. But put it in a newer drive and install... and it worked fine.

So I totally feel his pain there.
