There, it's done. The semester has ended - woot!

Watched yesterday's Preakness. I shall sulk properly about it later.

Happy Willa.

I'm going to go make chocolate mousse.

Why?

They've announced he won't race at four. Which may not seem like much, but it's nice to see a horse continue to race for a year or so after instead of sticking him out to stud ASAP.

While he may be a stronger contender than previous Triple Crown wannabes, I'd prefer (on the chance he wins) to see a horse who's had a strong 3 year old career and will race for a bit afterwards.

Could be they are worried about him breaking down and not making the ducets out of him.

If only. If that were the case, they'd have announced it along with the location.

Unfortunately, the industry as of late is far more breeding driven then not. Stick him out to stud now - you can get two or three seasons out of him at the initial price. If they continue to race him and he loses a few, price will go down.

That is exactly what I was referring to.

Ah - I'm still waking up. *grin*
