since you all want to know how i'm doing

And the answer is, in fact, pretty damned well.

Even if 18 credits is going to drive me nuts. I'm taking English 103H, College Algebra, Human and Animal Interrelationships from Domestication to Present, Introduction to the Horse Industry, Introduction to Animal Racing, and Weanling Management. All are interesting and (to a greater or lesser extent) fun. Especially Weanlings, which will get it's own entry when I get my pics developed.

I've met some great people, and am meeting more. Earlier today, one friend surprised me by saying that she really had no interest in world affairs or the news or anything. *boggle* That's such an alien concept to me... That aside, she's interesting and fun to be around, so I'm not complaining or anything.

If nothing else, I'm busy here. Very much so. And I like it, even if it's a bit chaotic. I found a job, and hopefully it's going to fully come through. (I'm having some minor issues, but they should be resolved rather quickly and without fuss. I hope.)

That is all. For right now.

Interest in world affairs is overrated. Sure theres all sorts of stuff going on, but does any of it really warrant my attention or concern? Sure a combonation of factors leaves me paying more at the pump, but besides that, I could turn my TV off and never tell a difference. Infact, thats why it feels so silly to get worked up over world affairs: It feels more like I'm watching a TV show filled with blood and tears. I'd rather play Starcraft.

*chortle*

I just happen to like having an idea of what goes on in the world. Over the past few years, it's sort of become habit to check a few online news services. So it's just sort of odd to me to find someone not at all interested.
