I have to say though, I did read your typical young adult lit when I was a kid. I didn't read Goosebumps, but I think I read every single Fear Street book RL Stine wrote. And most of the Babysitters Club books. Then again, I was also reading history and science textbooks, so I felt that balanced it out.
Have you ever heard of Invitation to the Game? It was one of my absolute favorite young adult books. Still is one of my favorites, actually. Yay for sci-fi!
