Really? It's already the end of the year? Feels kind of weird, to be honest.

Overall, this year has been a good one. Or at least one that I can look back on and smile at. Not too much went wrong, and lots of things seemed to work out nicely. I feel like I'm finally at a point where things are, perhaps, level, and I can get to concentrating on how things are going. Ryan and I have been slowly tackling bits and pieces of the house, making space for more things as well as cleaning out what is no longer either wanted or needed. It's a very good feeling, I'll admit, and I'm more than happy that it's being done.

There were ups and downs (but that is inevitable, is it not?), but sitting here on the couch drinking coffee, I feel as if the ups outnumbered the downs, and so I am happy. Highlights, without a doubt, included getting Roxy (her royal puppybutt is now at the vet, where she is getting her teeth cleaned and a small lump on her belly removed). Also, I felt like things were reasonable and sane. I acquired some great books and am certainly still running on the high that came with recently getting a copy of Ricky Jay's Cards as Weapons, which I have been after for years, but unwilling to pay the usually asked for price.

What does the next year bring in terms of things that are not goals? Graduation, which will be rather nice (if surreal). I'm hoping to stay with WACC, and we shall see where things go on that front.

My primary goal for the next year is thus: make pastry my bitch. This has been slightly expanded to "reach the point where all yeast/bread products are made at-home."

Secondary goals are get healthier, be more crafty, and tackle the masses of unread books. Please note, these goals are in no particular order.

I have also been oogling images of Cimetière du Père-Lachaise in Paris. I really do love old cemeteries...
