Is Stuff Going Well?
Oct. 31st, 2010 09:21 pmThings actually might be.
Work remains busy, and I feel like I'm on top of things there. I've got a respectable amount of things to work on, and I'm enjoying it overall. I'm looking at staying with them after I graduate and I do think that's going to be a definite possibility. I'm happy at the end of the day there and really see no reason to leave.
Also doing well school-wise, I think. Doing rather well overall, which is a pleasure. After the spring semester, I've got two classes left, a fact that feels kind of surreal, all things considered. The end of academia is in sight. Weird.
Hit my first model horse show this weekend. Would someone please explain why I've never gone before? Seriously, my inner child came out and was incredibly pleased. I think I need to finally give in and buy more Breyers.
Oh yes, and then there's the house. We had a fun little surprise the other day when wrigglebutt (aka Roxy) dislodged one of the window sensors, resulting in a phone call form the company and me heading home early. On the bright side, it meant that we finally called in a friend of one of Ryan's coworkers who does landscaping - which means that in the next week or so we'll have clean front and back yards as well as the alley. One of two dog doors are also installed, which seems to please Roxy.
And now, having gone up to dad's for a few hours of Amazing Race and chatting about politics, I'm home, We've tossed on Psych and I've made vanilla-almond scones. Soon enough, shower and then bed.
Definitely content at the moment.
