small stuff involving life

Ah, the week is nearly over. I'm actually pretty happy with this fact, in part because it's kind of been a long week in some respects. Work is quiet, so I've been catching up on some things that have been sitting around for probably longer than they should be. (And by that I mean only a few weeks, and mostly bookkeeping stuff.)

This weekend's going to be good. Need to get some cleaning done, so the house isn't a complete mess when Icka comes. I also want to finish sewing the skull-trimmed dress before PAX. It's an easy pattern, so I don't think it's going to take long or be much of an issue.

Also planning on hanging out with my dad - horse racing! - and Carys - coffee!. Haven't placed any bets in a long time, so that's going to be good. We also recently picked up a new electric grinder (used Astoria Super Jolly), so the next thing will be to get a nice espresso machine. I love the mypressi (though I need to fiddle some with it at the moment as one of the pieces seems to have cracked and I need to trade out parts. however, an email yielded a replacement that's on it's way tomorrow), and I think an upgrade may very well be worth it. I'm rapidly venturing down the path of good coffee and, well, it's pretty worth it, I think.

Of course, this could also be a sign of insanity. So who knows...
