Well, rugelach did not come out to my exacting standards. The dough was perfect -though I need to remember to roll it thinner next time - tangy with a little sweetness, but the filling needs work.

Oh, the agony.

Bread dough, on the other hand, looks quite nice and should be good by the time I finish before practice tonight.

Feels good to bake once more...

It is, perhaps, time to admit there is serious baking binge about to occur when you have more unsalted than salted butter in the fridge and are thinking that it's high time to restock the wheat germ because you're pretty sure you can't find yours.

It's shaping up to be a pastry-like weekend. I have plans...
