Feb. 26th, 2010 05:49 pmIt's probably a sign I haven't worn earrings in far too long when I keep trying to paw off the backs of these studs because they feel weird.
Well, at least work is interesting. We had a staff meeting where we discussed the next six months worth of stuff. Which is, well, insane. We started alphabetically with the first parks we've got stuff for (Capitol Reef) and just went on down the list ending in WACC stuff (in-house, for lack of a better description).
I'm going to be working on Dinosaur NM stuff (rare publications from the library there), Glacier (which apparently is like 30 boxes total and we'll be doing it in 10-box sets), Rocky Mountain, Grand Teton, and more Little Bighorn things. In addition to metric frack-loads to scanning, I'm going to be doing more cataloging, which I"m looking forward to, actually. It's nice to have a variety of things to be doing... helps keep my brain active.
Oh, and I'm getting a proper workstation all of my own. *glee*
We're going to see Mike Doughty tonight, which I'm really looking forward to. And then got tickets to see Kevin Smith in Phoenix in April. Dad's coming to that show too - he's also a big Smith fan, and it's right around his birthday. Consequently, glee for all! (We all sort of agree that the later Evenings with Kevin Smith DVDs aren't quite as good as the first, but still... seeing him live? Oh yes, please.)
Things are, actually, fairly smooth right now. Granted, there's always schoolwork to be done, and there's a lot of cleaning to be done as well, but I feel vaguely stable, and that's what matters, I think.
