Friday - Went to IKEA. Bought TV stand, tables, and bookshelves. And new glasses and a few other little things. Then met up with Shaun and Megan to goof off for a few hours. Grabbed dinner - Heart Attack Grill (surprisingly tasty, actually. definitely not a regular thing, though), came home.
Saturday - Cleaned living room and kitchen. You can see the floor! And there's a coffee table! And the DVDs and video games are all organized (with a minimum of argument over organizational practice). Only a matter of time before we've got a workable list that anyone can browse.
This is where I need to make note of how awesome Dom is. He's pretty much put everything together. (I should also note I have, well, no talent for such.) I just catalog and pick up the little things. Granted, I need to properly tackle the rest of the kitchen - meaning organize shit in a vaguely sane manner to prevent the "I have cumin. Where's the cumin? I know I have cumin. Bugger, I'll just buy more." moments...
Then dad came over for dinner. More No Reservations (how I love Bourdain), followed by some Woody Allen, and accompanied by clam cakes and shortbread made for an enjoyable night.
Sunday - Cleaned bedroom, some of the dining room, and Dom put together my new cutting table. Oh! And we saw Sherlock Holmes, which was quite fun.
This week will see more cleaning. Lots more cleaning. And a tackling of the Estrella prep stuff. I don't really have much in terms of Resolutions or anything. Just want to take better care of myself and be more creative.
