Sep. 28th, 2009 03:26 pmLet's see...
Before anything else, I'm directing you lot to a post on my sister's LJ with a kind of neat little video. If you're interested in/like Hinduism - give it a shot.
Grad school continues to plod along. Really, I need to get far better at keeping up with things and dealing with them as they arise and all that jazz. I'm a procrastinator, and I know this all too well. It is, also, a bitch and a half to conquer. i can only hope that, well, everything ends up vaguely alright. Seriously. (And you know what? I kind of know it will. Because things like this usually do. I just enjoy worrying as much as I enjoy procrastinating. Or something akin to that, I think.)
On the other major front - I will rejoice when we're done with, well, everything. Had to drop off another copy of the police report last week, which was a pain. See, apparently they never got the extended list of everything - and insurance needs that before they'll do anything. At least it's not in, so hopefully we can get all that done with soon enough. I've moved onto resignation and just... managing it all.
(As an aside - if you want updates on all this, don't beat about the bush. Just ask me flat out. I'll be in a better mood and you won't get monosyllabic answers. No, this isn't directed at anyone on the flist - this was elsewhere.)
The house is moving along at a nearly snail's pace. However, we're at least getting stuff slowly unpacked and organized. (One of the bedrooms has become a library. Seriously. I'm all kinds of pleased for some reason.) This is a very good thing. Delicious Library really is the best thing, and
domnall's found a spiffy little barcode scanning app for the iPhone. Now, to email Delicious Monster and ask why the videogames won't import. Right, when I get home.
We've given up on the pool for the rest of the year. Had it almost set and then everything went to Hell. We'll drain it, clean and patch, and then refill for the winter or something.
Need to dig up clothing for Kingdom A&S this weekend. I think I do know where things are though, which is good. Or at least I've got a vague idea. Granted, it'll likely be the over and underdress I've been wearing for the last several events, but, well, that's what I can find. Getting out and seeing people will be a good thing though. Social interaction FTW! (Gods, I spend too much time online. Not sure if I should worry right now or not...)
Really wish I could go to the weddings of two separate friends next month. That would be awesome, really. Unfortunately, life has conspired and so it shall not be. I won't lie - I'm kind of pissed. Nico and Erin are both very special to me in different ways, and if one wedding wasn't in WA and the other in MA, I'd be at them in a heartbeat. As it is, I need to be a good Willa and remember to buy presents.
With a pair of friends transferring servers to Aggramar, the desire to play WoW has increased. Had fun last night running through Old Kingdom a few times while we were all on Skype so Sam could level. This is a good thing, I think. Actually, I know it is. Combine that with running Star Wars (note to self - have work to do!), and I think I'm OK on the gaming front. Spiffiness.a lie - need to work on the milton/dante journal-based game. however, have a few months on that front to get things sorted.
And now, off to continue in the land of... stuff.
