Dec. 25th, 2008 10:22 amSo, we decided to have dinner last night with my dad, and open presents then.
There was duckie, eggplant, and potatoes (I've said it before, I'll say it again - duck fat is like a minor deity).

domnall got me the Complete Monty Python and the Complete Jeeves and Wooster. *squeal*
*From my mother and sister, got a new cookbook. (Padma Lakshmi's Tangy Tart Hot & Sweet, which contains an ode to bacon.)
*My dad got us a new cutting board. Interestingly enough, this was one we had wanted to put on the registry, but couldn't find online at the time. It's a big teak butcher's block style one. Woot!
*Several bracelets, one from my mother and one from my grandmother.
I am also pleased fordomnall - I got him 40k figures and leg-wraps for Viking-era garb. (I"d been threatening to find lime-green polo wraps so I would be able to find him easily.) My mother also sent him a book, The Illustrated History of Weaponry - which has some great stuff and a photo of little!Willa.
I am happy. Life is good - and Merry Christmas, again, to all!
