Jun. 24th, 2005 11:45 pmI got up early this morning to help the MU and Brownie bring some plants of Stefani's out to the Newport Flower Show. We dropped the four entries off and then looked at what other people had entered. There were some gorgeous roses and orchids and it was a pretty fun time.
They hold the Show every year at Rosecliff, and whenever I see the fountain, all I can think of is the party in The Great Gatsby film with Robert Redford. Which you should see if you never have, it's a good movie.
Then I went to work, worked, came home, and went to dinner with dad. We went to this very good little Thai place on Thames, which was fun. Then the two of us walked along Thames for a while. (there was a funny little incident in one store as we were both wearing pink buttondown shirts-a complete coincidence neither of us noticed previously-which was rather funny)
When we got home, we stuck in The Piano, and while watching it talked about film ratings (such as Midnight Cowboy's original X rating), perceptions of movies (people saying Trainspotting glorifies drug use-as if!) and a few other random things. All in all, a good night-as ones where the MU aren't mentioned are.
Happy little Willa has, sadly, to work tomorrow at 10 and so must go.
