I'm tempted to call this the Week From Hell

But it really isn't.

Calculus AP yesterday aside, it's not that bad. I had an Ethics final presentation today and an Art History paper due on Saturday. The Art paper is not bad by any stretch of the imagination, and I'm going to do it later.

But Saturday, oh Saturday...

It's Derby Day.

Horse racing is one fo the things I adore in life. There are times when it's the most important thing there is. Generally, Derby Day, while big and wonderful, isn't my top racing day of the year. But this year...

Almost every horse in the field deserves to be there. Which hasn't been in past years, in my opinion. It's a great thing, and I'm uber-happy.

Though maybe I'm also looking forward to it (albeit in a melancholy way) because it's going to be the last one, at least for a while, that I'm guaranteed to be able to watch with my dad. And it's been a tradition for as long as I can remember. Triple Crown, Travers, Breeders' Cup, and the preps, plus a few interesting ones thrown in here and there.

I'm such a happy Willa right now. *grins*
