A Small Fandom Related Post (and take note that it's a bit rambling)

And a note, this may or may not have been inspired by the wank that is going full force involving a robbery, loss of computers, and Cassandra Claire.

Now, those few RL friends on the flist may not have caught on/figured out/whatever that I happen to like Harry Potter. The rest of those on the flist have encountered me through related communities, and therefore know that I like it.

That said, the fandom annoys me quite a bit at times. The current craziness to be found over on fandom_wank (and I found via inkpuddle) truly makes me shake my head in dismay. Now, I'll say that personally, the Draco Veritas trilogy, I found to be shit, there are other writers I like much more. But the whole thing with CC just seems to be getting out of hand. I'm not going to bother summarizing it, as I think anyone who's interested has probably seen it for themselves.

The whole fandom can get a bit well, obsessive, at times. It may account for my sporadic nature regarding it. I go on a kick, and then stop dead in the water. Because yes, I'm fond of Draco/Hermione, and Hermione with several otehr characters (namely of the Slyth nature). just shut up, ok? And trying to find good fics seems to be getting harder and harder. Thankfully, there are a few archives out there that are good and help to ensure I have faith in the fandom, and a few very good writers as well.

That said, I finally caught up with the rest of the world and have seen Prisoner of Azkaban. And I liked it quite a bit.


And on one final note, I was honestly thinking about posting a wishlist, but never really got around to it.
