Weekends are a wonderful thing.
Oct. 4th, 2004 12:01 amMine was.
First off, dad got the parrot's wings clipped. He'd been rather full of himself, and this just made him silent and much more friendly. Even if his wings aren't as impressive.
Secondly, I had a good lesson. Actually, we did a fun trail ride around the golf course, which ended with some random riding around the lowest field behind the track. I couldn't canter Val, as it was somewhat wet and he's a large horse and the most likely to hurt himself on that surface. Still, Julie and I did some cantering on the road, which was fun.
Thirdly, at long last, I saw Trainspotting. My sole comment is that I love it. It was very well done, and I got a kick out of. Not to mention it's nice to now be able to match the music from the albums up with what happened on screen. And I love Sick Boy.
And finally, there was joy on Saturday night. For ABC showed both halves of the Lost pilot as a single episode. In very general terms, it was amazing. Greg Grunberg (Weiss on Alias) had a small part, and Terry O'Quinn (Kendall) looks to have a recurring character.
( And to be more specific, yet still rather general. )
Overall, I want to see Lost keep on going. Because it's pretty damned good thus far.
