Dec. 10th, 2003 11:26 amWhat does one do when you find out that a good friend died last night of a heart attack? It's something that can't be put into words or expressed. The campus is silent and ghost-like. I've held my tears back, but fear I won't be able to do so forever.
This is just so hard, Ali wasn't one of my best friends, but she was still dear to my heart. We had a nice service of sorts in the church. People spoke about her, I read an Invocation from the Tibetan Book of the Dead. More of it can be found here. It was very sad to hear Towler talking about how he knew her, and the semi (which was/is coming up), and how he never told her that he loved her. To hear people talking about her non-stop good humor. IT was touching.
And yet I feel so sad and miss her terribly.
