lightbulb!

went through the garb closet today and realized that we've got enough clothing to last pennsic after i finish a pair of tunics for ryan and our middle easterns.

yes, we'll be wearing things twice but i really don't care. likewise, a number of them are sort of plain... but again, they don't look terrible and they'll work nicely in the end.

overall i'm very happy at this realization right now.

Gah, I wish Pennsic wasn't such a long haul across the state and that there were day passes. I would dearly love to see you guys.

We'd settle for you coming out here.

The one thing you have to worry about with pennsic is that the clothes don't dry out like they do here in AZ....things are damp even if it doesn't rain. You might need a few more under tunics/dresses than you think. Overs, yeah I rewear stuff...though I might not this year.

good to know. i tend to forget how the east coast is (having not bothered returning in a few years).

you're queen - you should *always* look awesome. *grin*

You are my student and subject to rules 1&2 (grin)

Duly noted, oh laurel, my laurel!

(On a practical level, things are mostly plain, but they're all linen and I don't stare at them going 'I need to get rid of that'. They can get a bit more decoration later, but I'm ok with this.)

plain and simple and well made is always good. You can accessorize with trims, naalbinding and jewelry.

Yep! Though I *really* needed to do better finish work on some of the older things. Well, I'll have handsewing supplies with me!

Post-war... there will be more trim. Much more trim.... *insert dreamy look here*
