The New Year
Yes, it's Death Cab for Cutie. And, well, I'm fond of them.
But anywhere, here we are in 2013. 2012 was... sort of crazy, but also really good. I feel like it meant the end for many things, and now that the year is properly over, I can properly move on.
Biggest was finally finishing my master's. Naturally, I then ended up with a job that uses neither of my degrees, but I'm actually really happy. It keeps me interested, and it's challenging. It just feels... like a good fit.
I also got a large chunk of my mental things sorted out. We'll leave it at that, because I'm still not entirely comfortable talking about it in general, but I'll happily admit that I think things are going to stick around this year. And I'm not in it alone, which makes a big difference.
Otherwise, I've got plans for this year. I've realized where the (non-human) loves of mine are, and in no particular order they're as follows:
1 - books
2 - cooking/baking
3 - the sca/history
Luckily, in some way, shape, or form, the three of them end up working together nicely. I do intend on spending more time actually making stuff.

And reading. Even though I've not managed to read much in the last year, I'm at least determined to make some headway on the collection of books I do have stacked up. I've cut down on my fiction purchases, but I know I've bought at least a good half-dozen in the last year that I've still not gotten to - frustrating beyond belief, now that I think about it.
I'm also determined to try and take better care of myself. Last year was sporadic. this year... it will happen.
