Amazing what a simple magazine can do...
Well, it's the Vanity Fair music issue, but still...
I had what amounted to a lousy day. Advisory grades came out, and while not bad at all, I've got a C in Ethics. Not a surprise, as I'm really slacking off in that class, but still a bit of an annoyance. Add that to a Poli Sci test (involving theory and practice of democracy), and I wasn't enthused.
Of course then, I rode this afternoon. In nice new jodphurs. which wasn't bad. Except for the fact that Julie was constantly going "Willa, diagonal!" As a result, no cantering for me. It was not my best day.
And then I get to dad's and open his mail. And what do I see? The shiny new issue of Vanity Fair. With Johnny Depp on the cover. *squee!*
I'm not squeeing because Depp is "OMGSOHOTT!!" but instead because I think he's a very good actor (and I've got more then Pirates to go on) and he's interesting. (After catching him on Inside The Actor's Studio I found I liked him more. There was something that was just, well, cool about him.)
Add to that article the fact that it's the music issue, Elvis Costello is interviewing Joni Mitchell, and there's a good article on U2 (one of my favorite bands of all time), and the Proust Questionnaire is Tom Waites. That all just made me very happy.
All that and I finally made my way back to FictionAlley. *headdesk*
