An Update. At Last.
It's been quite a while since I last updated. I think. Not much has really happened since then, just work, stuff, and work.
Of course, work yields the standard interesting stuff. Like Sam being told that the rack out noses hang on had fallen off. And then realizing that it hadn't just fallen, the only way that thing could have come off was for it to have been pulled. which meant the kid must have been swinging on the pegs. Of course, she got nothing from the parent, not even an apology. Needless to say, Sam wasn't amused.
Now, we got rid of the cat months ago, yet certain places in the house still reek of cat piss. It's like on a weekly basis, previously undiscovered depositories of scent are found. Just makes us all happy thatheit's gone.
I'm actually currently listening to the local pop radio station. Sadly, the music is rather hit or miss. Of course, my standards for what they play on it aren't that high. Of course, it results in rather funny commentary on the songs of the worst caliber, the rap stuff. Which sort of makes up.
And last weekend, I finally saw Alien, which resulted in much Alien love. At the point when the little alien pops out of the guy's stomach, chirps, and then speeds off, I hugged the TV and declared the Alien love must be shared. Keep in mind I was close to half-asleep and somewhat out of it. This is now known as my "Share the Alien love!" moment.
Mom is known for having said that she&'ll never have a TV, yet she somehow came into possesion of one which is good for nothing except movies. Which now means I can see all of the I, Claudius series, as the library has them. It's actually rather terrific, and I'm completely in love with Livia and Tiberius.
the window next to me is open, and it appears that the neighborhood skunk has had another incident. All summer long, on average once a week, the odor of skunk has permeated the area. for a while, Mom thought he lived in our backyard. We've now decided that our backyard isn't his choice of residence, but it's pretty damned close by.
The guinea pig is perfectly fine, she's chewing on my shirt. Which means luring her away with lettuce, which makes her very happy. She's getting rather large and a bit feisty. The little sweetheart.
Less then a month until school starts. I'm enjoying these final weeks very much.
